Ok guys, You've seen it in multiple threads. If you receive "Overland Journal" magazine, it was featured in last winter's issue. Now it's for sale.
Custom Dual Battery Setup for 2001-2004 Tacoma's. This was custom built for my 2003 V6 Tacoma. It features a steel tray fitted for two Optima batteries. It is a direct bolt-in installation with minor modification needed to the inside of the driver's side fender. The tray (as pictured below) has a bracket for the radiator overflow bottle, and threaded rods for the custom tiedown.
Includes a Wrangler NW Isolator with pre-terminated cables and In-Cab remote
Also includes one Yellow-Top Optima battery. Just add a Red-Top Optima and you're good to go.
This system allows for 12 volt operation of each battery, completely isolated from one another, yet charges both simultaneously from your alternator. With the In-Cab remote switched to "Emergency", the batteries combine for heavy loads, such as winching, or even jump-starting yourself! Save one battery for starting your vehicle and one for running your electronics in camp! Fellow adventurers have run refrigerators for days on end, without starting the vehicle, with systems like this.
Add your battery and this is everything you need!
Here's the build write-up:

This is really hard to price. The fabrication time alone was probably 40-50 hours, including R&D and test fits. The steel, hardware, and supplies were approx. $60. The Wrangler NW parts were $310. The Yellow Top was $170.
I think $350.00 is a fair price
Worried about installation? If you're close enough, I can help! If not, I can provide pictures and online tech support
