Haha, probably so. This one was a gift I received a handful of years ago, seems like a good home for it. The controller is a Blue Sky 3000i.

For anyone curious of weights. Empty box with a full tank of fuel and me in the seat was 6300lbs. Full build out, full fuel and propane tanks 7400lbs. I will weigh it again after 4x4 conversion and again once loaded for a full wet weight. My goal was to keep it south of 10,000lbs fully loaded including me, wife and the dog. I am thinking overall clearance height is going to be just shy of 11’ with 3 surfboards on the roof. Also the aftermarket cruise works great. ✌?

What made you choose the XPS polystyrene boards over something like Rmax Polyiso for insulating the box?

What made you choose the XPS polystyrene boards over something like Rmax Polyiso for insulating the box?

The local store only had polyiso in .5” and 1” thickness. I was after .75”. I ripped 3/4” marine ply for the studs and used 5mm ply for the wall skins. In my mind it was a good compromise between insulation value, strength and space. Having the bed oriented sideways and being 6’1” I did not want to lose the precious extra .5” of width ??‍♂️
