Nice build man! I know what it's like to build something by yourself. Some days I feel like I'm drowning in my build, so way to stick with it and keep on pushing. I am REALLY jealous of your shocks too. I'm trying to decide if that's something that I need to blow the money on, or if the lower budget Rancho RS9000 or bilstein 5100 will work? Keep it up man, you'll be wheeling in no time!

thanks LB. on the shocks front, i went with Chris' (Ujoint) recommendations but i've got a feeling that i won't be worth a damn as far as reporting on the Fox 2.0s. Between the axles, gear ratios, wider bigger tires and leaf springs, i'm expecting a totally different ride and i won't be able to dissect which component is responsible for what. What are you building?

the problem i'm running into is lengths. the axle came with one cable on the pass side, so i put it back on that side but it's short. and then the new driver side i got is long but about the same length as the pass side.
shrug.....

yes, those are a pain! We only use 05-07's here since they're wider and the e-brake cables are plug & play. Shoot me an email with pics and I'll try to come up with a solution.

Since you're in e-brake solution mode, do you know where I'd source the front/rear cable(s) for my Ambo? Dealer? For a 1992? OP comes first obviously. I'll wait in line. :)

so realized during brake line mock up, that my calipers have a different banjo bolt location than what is designed to work with my new lines. the line works when running to the bolt if it's attached to the flat spot in the middle of the caliper.

my stock lines will work in the short term but i was really excited to have new braided lines...
anyone else run into this or (better yet) have a part number for a caliper that works with the UJOR hard lines?
so close yet so far....

I had the same exact problem on Sat. I just bent the lines back a bit using a cheap $5 bender. You could do it with your hands though. Let me know if you need pics. It sounds like you're already done with this though.

chris, if you've got a van in the shop on a sterling, could you by chance snap a couple pics of the parking brake cable routing and connection point along the frame? Purdy please? mine has me scratching my head and i'm annoyed at being stumped so close to being done.

Oh man, you're one step ahead of me, saving me so much time. Thank you! I hope to have mine driving in 2 days.

I'm building a fullsize chevy shorty van on 1 tons and 35's, basically from the ground up.... It's one hell of an undertaking, but I'm plugging away at it day by day..... Check out my build thread "The Lunchbox Build"

So with my driveline still on the way i turned my attention to the headlight situation. Got some scrap composite units to replace my sealed beams and sourced some harness adapters off the "bay". Problem with fitment is when i push the light assembly into place it fits and lines up with existing holes but it seems as though i'm missing a clip or another part to hold the light securely in place.

pics are off the existing hole in the front of the van where the upper adjuster goes and the upper adjuster itself (with a small channel for a cir clip or something?). Dealer and parts store haven't been any help so i'm turning to you guys.
