Electric Brake equipped Axle & E brake

I ordered my brakes with parking brake today. Still have to get an axle and hubs, but its one part less on the list!

Electric trailer breaks are not good for parking brakes, braking is only applied when the wheel is moving causing the magnet to rub on the brake drum forcing the brake shoes agianst the drum. No wheel movement = no braking force.

Most trailer brakes use much less than the whole battery voltage to assist with stopping, a full 12 volts aplied for a long time will probably destroy the magnets.

I have Dexters brakes on my trailer with the parking brake feature but have not gotten the p-brake hooked up yet as Dexter does not make a handle kit. Using a pair of handles (one each wheel) from Adrenalin but having trouble fitting them on the busy tongue.
