I don't think you need to say "Rural Louisiana" That's like saying, "Wet water". Just saying Louisiana is sufficient to make your point :)

Compared to SoCal, you're right. Check out googlemaps and look up Deville and Pineville. I graduated from Pineville Highschool. The entire campus is probably the size of the elementary school that your kids go to... its a shame really... your poor kids.

Just out of curiosity, what tire pressure were you running? I'm sure with the Load D or E rated tires sidewall bulge is less visible, but it honestly looked like your tires could stand to drop a few PSI. That'd significantly help your traction.

Dang... now I sound like offroader. But what do I know? I live in Texas...

I was running 30psi.
I had to drive over 100 miles back home on highway. Didn't want to wobble across the lanes at 80mph.
