How much would you pay?

I think it is priced too high.

Shouldn't weight be a major concern? Can an E250 handle it?

On the other hand, it is a Born Free 4x4.

What do you think it is worth?

I emailed him a couple of times when the ad first showed up. No response to either. He's about 15 miles from here.

What's with the XXXXXs on here trashing capitalism? And why you here? I'm sure Venezuela or Cuba would be a better fit. Think all you XXXXXX need to put your money where you mouth is and give away all your expedition vehicles and equipment and then go do mission work in Venezuala and come back and tell us all what a great economic system they have.

I agree Tex, I think it's the trust fund babies who don't like the capitalism. If you work hard for a living a few extra bux made from buying something at a lower value than you can sell it for is a god send. The trust funders don't realize that someone who was probably a capitalist made it possible for them to not be part of it.

Never ceases to amaze me. Capitalism created the 4x4 van market in the US so to hear someone bash it on a 4x4 van ad thread is utterly ridiculous. And what do you people care if someone makes a buck? Such elitism just assumes the old lady was too incompetent to sell a van at fair market value. It's an outrageous belief that "I know better than the owner does" as to what the van is worth even though they have never seen it. I guess they think in a communist or socialist country the result would be so much more fairer to the old lady; but they apparently don't realize that under those systems there wouldn't be an ad to begin and the van would be government property. Much like the communist view of labor - the peasants are obviously too dumb to spend their own money so we need to enslave them all to the government so the government can spend it better for them. Cause slavery is just don't you know, just ask the people of Cuba or Venezuela.

Wow, I just saw this :) What you all are talking about is one of my RVs and me too. I can't help but smile how people think and talk when they don't know enough. Look me up and my projects and learn a bit more about me, my projects, and my posts, both here and in Pirate4x4. A flipper?

By the way the ad was beset with a lot of flagging the ad in Craigslist, that and low-ballers. RVing and 4-wheeling is a very expensive hobby and it is an eye-opener to many. "You get for what you pay for" is widely known but not to them. I had to resort to things to drive away low-ballers and wannabees.

BTW it is still for sale but I am currently converting it to dually, as I would prefer it that way for my own use if it doesn't sell. In other words, I'm putting more money in it without hesitation whether or not it will sell. It can sit in my property for me to watch an extra-ordinary accomplishment.

Its worth $19,000 to someone, stop bashing it. Good for the seller if he makes a large profit, I really hope he does. I'm surprised how much this forum has gone down the drain with most of the members complaining about unique vehicles being over priced and not worth it, and on for sale threads continue to spout their BS about why its not worth it. Just because you can't afford it or the wife won't let it be added to the collection is no means a good reason to bash ads.

And for the "flipper" comments, who gives a ********, that just means he got to it before anyone else could. Another guy did that with a 2002 Sportsmobile EB15, bought it for $20k from a lady who posted it at that price, and recently sold it for $41,000.. So stop bashing because you missed out on good deals that could've potentially made you a nice sum of money. There is a reason why all the unique overland rigs get posted on CL, eBay, and not the fourm anymore, and thats because of the stupid negative comments that just hurt the chances of selling.

The "bashing" doesn't offend me at all. There is no $ profit to make on the vehicle, believe it or not. The only profit I would make is if it sells to a serious off-roader and if on this thread if people would realize and refrain from making judgments until they have invested the time to see the vehicle in person. It is my prerogative as the seller to ignore inquiries when I sense the inquirer is not the person I want to sell it to, and show the vehicle in my own schedule..
