Our two-year trip from South to North America ends unfortunately in a few months, but our beloved Defender is not interested in returning to Poland with us!
We are also very flexible. We can be in another country in Central America or North America because we continue our journey to north ...
The car is fully equipped and ready to leave Colombia in March or later if you wish. Defender has a 300 TDI engine, R380 gearbox, LT230 reducer
The car was completely rebuilt by us in Poland and equipped for the trip with all the necessary things that are needed for a very long trip for 2 people.
We slept in it for hundreds of nights feeling safe.
We visited most of the countries of South America and Defender perfectly managed at very high altitudes in Bolivia 4,900 m a.s.l.
Our car has been regularly serviced and will be fully serviced shortly before sale.
During the journey, we replaced some new suspension parts, timing belt, bearing, Visco, ignition and windscreen.
For us, the car was extremely reliable - it always starts the first time and we didn't have a single failure or a serious problem during our 53.000 km journey.
We recently replaced tires when the old ones have worn out.

However, along the way we are looking for a new owner for our vehicle...

I don't think it's possible to register it in the USA. Must be 25 years old and nearly original specs (same engine etc that is offered for that year etc). If there is a way around this then I think it would sell pretty easily once you arrive.

Often travelers looking for such a vehicle not only from the USA.
Maybe someone is going on their journey of a lifetime and it will be the perfect car for him ...
However, I know of cases of cars registered in Poland in the USA.

25 year yes, but "original spec" is almost entirely state dependent, i.e., states with inspection are more stringent.

Sorry, by original spec I don’t mean stock. I mean if a 300tdi was made available in ‘95 models then its ok. I was stationed in the UK and had a friend import a defender so I only know the headache he went through finding one that could actually be exported.

Sorry OP, didn’t mean to hijack your thread, but knowing if it can be registered in the US or even getting it plated there yourself and I bet it would sell very quickly at your asking price IMO.

Our Defender is in the original version 1995r. It was not mechanically modified. It has only rear air suspension cushions.
It is possible to remove the furniture from the back ...
