Expedition Photographer Challenge: Adventure

We all love photography and I have a particular love for all things creative. As a result, we are launching a series of photography challenges. We already have some great gear lined up as prizes.

The January Theme is: ADVENTURE

Let your interpretation adventure be your canvas. . .

Prize for this contest is a years subscription to Overland Journal and an Overland Journal shirt and decal. In addition, we have a copy of Tom Sheppard's Quiet for a Tuesday book!!! Runner-up will also get some cool swag.

EDIT: Fax from Backlit Box has also donated a Blacklit image for the winner!

Choosing a winner. We will narrow the submissions down to 10 and set-up a poll for the community to vote.

BMW GS-Adventure in Colorado

Went riding and found Shelf Road. I was out in Colorado racing in the Pike's Peak International Hill Climb event in June, 2010.

Need a clarification on the rules!?!? Does this have to be a new picture taken in January or can it come out of the photographers archives? I think it would be better if it HAD to be a new picture, would motivate some folks to get out and about and snap some new pics!:smiley_drive:

Great idea! I think we should do anonymous submissions and have the mod post the images. Can you setup a mailbox where we can mail our submissions into?

Might be too much work, so it might not work out logistically...

Good question. It can be an image from your archives. Future competitions may be time limited based on the theme and to encourage some crazy last-minute creativity.

Well, that is a fair consideration. Lets try this first one the way we have it configured and maybe we will try anonymous if there are issues or concerns.
