expedition rigs in england

so im from england and looking for a way to travel extensivly around the uk and ireland, but its slim picking for all terrain campers in england as the most popular (vw,landrover etc.) are expensive or the cheaper are ancient, and rare (bedford cf 4x4,transit mk2 lwb etc) so has anyone got any good ideas for good campers. Also does anyone know if subaru brats can have camper backs.

I think you are going to have to narrow your size and weight range a bit: there's quite a difference between a Brat and a Bedford. I can guarantee a Brat with a camper will be grossly overloaded. There is a saying in American English: "you get what you pay for". Decide how much you have to spend first, then come back for advice.

I second Charlie's advice to use mobile.de. They're not very common but Mercedes 4x4 vans can be found there. (814d's). Someone was selling a nice Mercedes 4x4 expedition camper in the UK about a year ago.
