I don't have a cruiser, but I wanted to say: WOW! You all have some VERY cool trucks! Thanks for providing a thread where a guy can drool on his keyboard for 30 minutes instead of eating his lunch! :D:D

Recently purchased this 100 series from Eagle, Co while I was home on R&R. High milage (237,000) but the engine was replaced at 100,000 miles. Also has a stack of papers for previous maintenance done to it. I also only paid $6,750 for it. Since owning (2 weeks) I've had the timing belt, water pump, and tensioner replaced from a Toyota Dealership in Pueblo, Co. I did the oil change (Full Synthetic 5W30), front and rear brakes and rotors, as well as the bearings with the help of my dad. So far I love it and can't wait to get back from Kuwait to take it on some trips!

That's a great deal for $6750! I wouldn't call it "Landy" though as that is a very common nickname / slang for Landrover. If you're in the military, how about "LC". Unless your a bird or higher I guess you'd have to salute it then?

Hello folks,
I have a question about TLC 100 and LX 470.
I was going to start a new thread, but decided to ask about this matter here.

I have never had a TLC nor LX 470, so my knowledge is a bit limited in this matter.

Is LX 470 basically the same car or it just resembles TLC 100?

Can one build a good overland car with LX 470 as good as TLC 100 overland?

Is it worth to pay $15000 for a 1998-2001 LX 470?

Thank you,
David

an LX470 is basically a fancier LC; meaning seats, interior trim, options etc maybe nicer or pricier. In certain years only the LX470 had a thing called AHC; its an option on LC in various parts of the world and North America. (in 2006 and 07 both had the option. As for price; if you have a vehicle history and maintenance then the price can be much higher.

Ok ok good point! It'll be called LC then! I like it a lot so far. Rides 10X better than my 2013 Tacoma. They each have their place and I respect both.

Rock-Eater,

That is about the purdiest LC100 specimen that I've seen. Awesome score. I picked up a 2002 in November, but sadly...still stock.
