Rust does a body good.
Very nice. I'm jealous of the roof rack. I'd like to get one so I could carry a tent in the event we don't bring along my wife's Xterra. I'm waiting to see how it all pans out with Xoskel though.

At this point, I'd go with a GOBI. John makes great products, but the wait time is a serious drag.

Hah ... I know that guy (DzrtX) ... :friday: ... what's shakin' John?

Sponge, since you're semi-local, Gobi's even more of a no-brainer ... they're down here in Commerce City. Get it ordered up, and when it's ready, I bet they'd even help you install it at their shop (or at the very least, just make the drive over and save yourself the shipping time - and some cost). They were awesome to me (& my wife) when I got my rack ... they're good folks over there.

I'll put together a more interesting post at some point, when there's more interesting stuff to look at, but for now here's my (short) list:
2008 Xterra Off Road 6MT
255 Toyos
Maxterra rock rails
NXRocks skidplates
Uniden 538w CB & K40 hood-mount whip
Gobi Rack (they're Eagle Eye lights ... need to spend some time on the electrical, though)
recovery/safety/emergency gear as needed
... and a whole pile of parts sitting in the garage waiting to go on ... :snorkel::coffee:

1st off road trip with it, 2009 ... bone stock (started the trail with mudflaps, even ... didn't finish with them, though):

Geordie's Australian Nissan Patrol

Well it is interesting to look through this thread at all the Nissans and see that you guys are not only into Jeep's over there. Seems that there are very different models in the states to Australia.

I have a 2005 Nissan Patrol GU Series IV.
3L turbo diesel, Auto Diesel/Gas injected
front and rear airlockers
long range fuel tanks 215L diesel and 30L gas
285/75x16" ATZ
Full Firestone airbag suspension for 4" lift

Kitted out for long distance touring, camping, boating, fishing.

I wil add some more details of the mods later.

Here are a few of my rig

Jeeps are for people who don't know any better. Nice patrol. I wish we could have them in the states.

All above very nice!

Here is mine (no build thread though, sorry!)

2013 Nissan Titan Pro-4X.

Mods (so far):

-Bilstein 5100 struts middle perch.
-.85" front level spacers (combined with struts gives about 2.5-3" front lift)
-Bilstein 5100 shocks rear.
-Firestone airbags rear, manual pump (bicycle pump), fittings inside bed toolbox.
() some type of mini level/lift for the rear, probably via shortened shackles-will add 1".
-BD tuner ram mounted under rearview.
-Nismo true (cat back) dual exhaust....Little loud.
-AirRaid CAI dry filter(non-oiled), with water "proof" filter overlay liner.
-FlipPac.
()Currently am still mid-torsion bar delete.
-Drawer/slide for chuck box & another drawer/slide for fridge.
-Near cab bed storage bench half done.
-Rear high mount stop light for FP glass.
-Rear hitch mounted step/bash guard.
-Cobra dash camera, records 3 hours in 3min clips, then over writes the oldest.
-Front & rear armor, rear has 2 swing outs for 20L gas + 20L H2O + LP tank. Was made by Outdoor Logic out of California (I don't think they make armor anymore).
-Supersliders (RR rock sliders) installed (bolt-ons). Need to have them welded on at some point.
-Rocky Road "Shock Rock" kit. Like sliders for the shock mounts + add an inch or so to the shock (don't have to buy longer shocks if a small lift...).
-House power: sears die-hard marine, isolated (was solar charged, but I left the removable panel on the roof one night & drove to work...)
*Now I "simple" charge it with a 10A/2A charger before a trip, & while driving during a trip (my truck has a 110 outlet in the bed).
()on board dual battery charging using the alternator (not sure which system to go with yet).
()aftermarket grill so I can easly relocate & service the winch solenoid/control box + do behind the grill lights.
-Played with black (front grill) & red Plasti-dip (lettering) for fun...
