after changing the rear bed cover, mostly to accomodate a decent fridge in the bed, i lost use of the slide out stove Scott had designed.

so heres my version of a new kitchen that works for our situation. hopefully my wife will approve. stove now on platform on swing out tire carrier. fridge close by and tailgate is prep area..

Dimple died, fold down aluminum stove shelf. dang thats a beautiful thing. Nice job. Oh yeah nice license plate too :D

Your new set up is looking great. I am thinking of stealing some of your designs. I've been picking my brain for the past 3 months as to better my rig for longer trips now.

If it's not too much trouble could we see some closer pics of the circled areas. I want to make a stove self like this, but I can't decide on the best way to mount it.

This is bloody brilliant. Nice job. I like how you have the tailgate as a prep area, fridge very close for the food, and then the stove right there. Very efficient.

Just make sure your fingers don't get excited and try to jump in the pictures again. :D

Do you have a build thread? I'd like to see what all you have done to your truck.

here' s a question for you all. what do you do when your campsite prohibits the use of bringing your truck close to where you setup camp?

places along the 79 going up to julian actually bar vehicle acces to the campsite. granted these are "campgrounds" more than overland camp spots.

would you still cook food on your rig and hump it over to your table/chairs? or do you have a backup? Like a camp table?

What's the story on that stove? Homemade? I work for a company that makes backpacking stoves and I've been thinking about making a car camping body that incorporated the guts of one of our stoves.
Any details would be great.

I love it! You've made some great improvements. So where do you store the stove when stowed, just right there near the back of the bed area? Again, it looks awesome.

Actually my plan is to have a Pelican case setup with the stove and some misc kitchen items. Ill see how that works out for the maiden voyage. Expo Trophy!

I am very impressed with your fabricating skills and you well thought out designs. I may have to take an afternoon to pop on over to take a look! Not for nothing but would you be willing to do some side custom work? I am in the market for a light bar that would work with the stock bumper.
