Expo West's Old Taco Gets a Mod to Bed Area

Although Scotts truck was setup really nice. It was design for primarily two person trip. We often take 4 people, so cargo space in the bed was limited and the old bed cover was low forcing the fridge into the back seat. Which made it uncomfortable to impossible to have 2 people back there.

So heres my attempt to keep it as simple as possible as low as possible with all the same features. Allowing the fridge in the rear and extra head room for more Storm cases.

Rob at 4wheelers in PHX is doing the fab work.

Ill give updates over the next few days as it progresses..

Very cool. I'm assuming it's a fixed position cover, due to the fridge slide and no visible hinge?? Which fridge slide did you go with?

Nice. You guys didn't look too comfortable with four people plus a fridge in the cab when we were in the Chiricahuas. This will be a lot better setup for you. It's almost on point with the plans I have for my next truck.

Spot-on, James.

Yeah coke is behind us now 100%. the possibilities are endless..:wings:

The cover is fixed. But we are adding a hinged door to the rear for security.

The new Engle MT40 and Slide is from Adventure Trailers.

I think we will powdercoat it as well for long term protection, and to remove some of the bling..

Cant wait to get that thule rack off the roof and get the sweet light bar back in place. Anyone want to buy that Thule for their Taco?
