Sad, but so many people fit that description, little to no fun and life, lots of fear and trepidation.

They can have my share of the fear and trepidation.

OK Rambo, go ahead and disable your airbags and seat belt chime if it makes you happy. FWIW, I've had several vintage cars through the years. I enjoyed them for what they were but never thought of them as serious transportation. If you recall, that's how this thread drift got started.

Yup, typical reply of one who lives in fear, enjoy your bubble of fear, I'll go enjoy life without fear of the dreaded "what if" while driving my vehicles.

Each to their own! (y) I feel the same when I see some geezer "packing" in the Barnes and Noble....
Theee quick items to complete the hijack. Lol 😂
1) it’s hard to live when you are afraid of dying
2) Taking reasonable precautions to protect the insurance you are paying for is, in fact, reasonable.
3) Many americans (yes I am one) have an over the top fear of many many things and we have a deep seated need to protect ourselves. Bedbug, strangers knocking on their door, bears, people attacking them, the governing breaking into their homes, you name it.

Well...around here I've not seen any "geezers" packing. But the other day when I was in the local Walmart there I saw two different couples "packing"...open carry, both husband and wife. One couple had to be early 20s, the other slightly older.

And no one was making an issue of it.

When I’m feeling frisky I take a drive in my landcruiser with the seat belt unbuckled. No annoying chine to tell me to put it back on…

I paid actual money (like $2) for a seatbelt clip. Plug that in, and it's enough to fool the computer.

It's the geezer in B&N and the Walmart couples who are apparently living in fear. Sad.
Oh... probably not a good idea to go down that road! I'm fine with people carrying guns if it makes them feel better.

Your posts here in this thread are pretty good evidence of your own self admitted fears, trying to call out others who go about their lives driving vintage vehicles or exercising their 2nd amendment rights only show further proof of that fear, that is sad on multiple levels.

Your reading comprehension is not what it should be. I have admitted no fear of vintage vehicles but have admitted to owning and enjoying them. I do feel sorry for folks who are so fearful they feel compelled to "exercise their 2nd Amendment blah blah blah..." when grocery shopping.

Yet you feel compelled to make a post about a woman injured in a vintage vehicle then post about people who open carry all while calling me "rambo", if not fear then why the need to continue defending your stance?

My apologies to OP for any part I may have played in derailing this useful thread. I've cleaned up behind myself and my personal troll is welcome to follow me to another thread. (y)

To be expected. As much as I love Toyota stuff, I couldn't imagine going to a full-size without getting a 3/4-ton, which is part of why I'm in a Prado.

As much as I love full-size trucks for travel, I’d be very tempted with a 70-series with its superb payload. Alas, we get nothing close to that here.
I had hopes the Ranger SD would make it this way, but no dice.

The old geezer in Barnes and Noble is giving all of us concealed carriers a bad name.
You need no help in that department. I conceal carry everywhere that doesn’t have a metal detector and no one else has ever done anything that can give me a bad name.

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say.

Just because we can open carry doesn't mean we should. It has the knock on effect of hurting us responsible gun owners who conceal carry. When there are bozos walking around Target with an AR and B&T silencer it tends to do more harm than good when the uninformed public sees it and has a visceral reaction.
