Thanks for the added conversation and ideas. Looking for skid plates off a fx4 is a good idea i need to do. I do have the gear to go with the winch and have used it once to get off a mound a was hungup on.
I currently use my running boards as a form of rock sliders. I dont rub over rocks but have bottomed out in dirt and land on the running boards and hit those and not my truck. So without those i would be hitting the tuck. Would rather my running boards take the abuse.
