F 250 Tremor = F 350 rear axle?

Hello,

i heard that the Tremor package upgrades the F250 rear axle to the one under the F-350 - is that correct? Never understood why these similiar trucks had differente rears in the SRW version to begin with, but if that where the case, i dont see any other difference anymore aside from one more leaf spring and bigger wheels?

Kind regards,

Marcus

Ok so the F 250 Tremor differs more to the "normal F 250" compared to the F-350 then right? Because for the F 350 its just an offroad package basically correct?

Yes the F250 Tremor is different from the standard F250 but the F350 and F250 in Tremor trim are nearly identical. That said I got the F350 for the higher door sticker since more legal payload is what I was looking for. My truck, as configured, has a Payload of 4214lbs which is respectable for any offroad vehicle.

Yeah that does make sense, but over here F-250's are way more common and tremor versions become more common, so this might be a nice option. You can get an upgrade in payload here if the technical side checks out anyways. Never truly understood the reason for the existance of the two versions F2/350 in this way anyways, in my opinion a super duty (and competitors) should always have the basis for the usually maximum gvw of 12.000lbs and the differenc between F250 and F 350 should just be the dual rear wheel and the F350 which would then be standard.

Depends on your licensing entity. Here you pay a luxury tax on a F250 but a F350 is deemed commercial (but no CDL or such needed). Ergo F350 are 10:1 F250 but go somewhere where you need a CDL equivalent for an F350 and all of a sudden there are tons of F250 and no F350 to be seen. The games we play....
