Fall Utah Trip Discussion

I know big trips this summer fell apart, mostly due to dates. But there has been some rumblings of a fall Utah trip. So I will throw September 30-October 8 out there and see if it sticks for anyone.....Relatively warm still but not hot, days not super short yet, some leaves changing....

PS planning to apply for some Utah rafting permits for next year if anyone is interested...

So, here in Arizona we have this thing called fall break, some are familiar with this in other states, and some arent. Its basically spring break but in the fall. Anyway, Adam and I were talking hole in the rock during that time. Kids fall break is October 9th - 13th. I believe Ernest was interested as well, and maybe some others if we can persuade them. Give me your thoughts on those dates. Also, not sure how a full week would work, some may just want to do a longer weekend.

May and October are our favorite times to be there for the reasons you mentioned, we will likely be on a road trip to Maine or hunting elk depending on the dates you pick, but we will see as it gets closer.

Of course my kids fall break is the Thursday and Friday before. Wish schools were more aligned. Someone could join us for a partial trip, just needs to start from the beginning to avoid chaos. I would think a typical Arch Canyon Meet Up, Then Hole-N-Rock, Maybe Dark Canyon......

The wife and I will be overloading across Utah Sep 30 - Oct 8. We're primarily focusing on the different parks (running and hiking them), but if there's a group trip we'd be happy to meet up for some of it.
