Fenders

I have a 1997 E250. My new tires rub the outside fenders when I turn or whe I go through big dips. Has anyone cut their fenders back that can give me tips on how to do this?

Do you recommend removing the fenders or can it be done with them still on? Any weird things I'm going to run into or is it pretty strait forward?

So FYI to anyone who is going to do this. There are 4 bolts (2 on each side) that are attached to the front trim piece above the bumper that require you to remove the entire front grill/headlight assembly to get to. Engineers, aren't they great? Other than that pretty straight forward like U joint said. Ill post some pix when I'm done.

I also wanted to say thanx to U joint for the pix ahead of time. I look forward to the day I can make it out to NC to have him do the 4X4 for me. (I'm taking $$$$ donations $$$).

Finally got around to posting some pics. Sorry it took so long .....but I had to go to Teton National Park for a while....poor me right. The first pic is the dilemma shot, the second pic is the fix, the third shot-does anyone know what this tag is?
