Yeah, it is good......belongs to one of the guys here. Rides well with the new wheels and suspension, low k's, good cab interior, etc. I guess it's ready for a few mods in the back to make a camper conversion...throw in some windows and bed frame and you'd be away ...if you wanted to keep it simple I suppose. This one was an airconditioned electronics workshop and still has all the original work benches, 415, 240, 24 and 12 volt circuitry, Air Con, etc in the back. I think all the contact details are on gumtree if anyone needs more pics.

All three vehicles are very different in their configurations.
You said you already have a camper, but you did not say how big it was. Would it fit on a dual cab? If so, it is probably too small for the FG84, which is a medium wheelbase (600mm longer). The ex army truck has singles and parabolics, but already has a pod on the back, so you would probably have to dispense with that, which would be a bit of a waste.
Probably need a bit more info to give a more valid response.

The FG84 has done a lot of k's in a very short time and no tray on it I would find the history out on that one.
As Owen said depends on the size of your camper .
The Ex Army one has all the good bits done to it and bloody low k's on it but it has a body on it .
The FG649 looks pretty good low k's but I would still try and find the history of the truck.

I've just bought myself a camper and found myself now needing a truck. I'm thinking of one of the 3 below. Which would you choose from?

It's only for my wife and I for trips around Aus initially, then looking to ship overseas for up to 18 months at a time.

Bad habit of mine, I get so deep into a thought process and ask a question without background information.

I just bought an XPCamper after a lead from a member on this forum. It was on an F250 (vehicle wasn't for sale), but I've never really been a fan of the F series trucks. A Canter would work well but would need would work with some extra fabrication work to build a higher platform and give me extra storage space underneath. Bed only needs to be 2.7M long, MWB would mean minimal overlap over the cabin, SWB and dual cab would have more over the cabin. Space in front would be used for 2 spares and garage for bike(s).

"For sale is my 1999 Mitsubishi FG 4x4 4 cylinder manual trans. it has 76,030 Miles, engine and trans and mechanical is in 100% Excellent Condition. THE ISSUE: This truck has been used for plowing for 1 season , and hit a curb which caused the chassis to crack. the truck is still in one piece and does not leak anything, but the crack is pretty bad. truck also has dent in front bumper. Chassis is also rusted pretty bad. interior is OKAY in my opinion with the exception of a ripped driver seat. you should probably have to tow this truck out. the engine starts up and you can see its strong with no issues. 5 Speed manual transmission is 100% as well.rear tires are about 60% front are 20%. I-Pack is not included but can be included for an extra $400. Located in Lakewood, NJ"

That thing is really rusted. Hard to believe it can get that bad in 76k miles. Maybe the drivetrain is worth 6k with that low a miles but overall that thing is about as bad as a rusted vehicle gets.

Saw this today. If anyone is interested please PM me. Located in Gympie, SE Queensland. Obviously it's from a recently auctioned Army SWB Canter. Unfortunately the toolboxes, benches, chassis bins, spare wheel bracket, etc were all taken off and used on the truck.

I took plenty of pics cause I was looking at buying it for my next project but just can't do anything until I sell my current FG84. Out of the three different body styles the the ADF has been putting to auction, this three gull-wing door type is the one the everyone has been biding wildly on recently........so this would be the body for a quick and easy conversion of a SWB or Crewcab Canter to a weekend camper ........with Uni-strut track in the side floors for bolting in bunks or cabinets, heavy tie down points in the centre checker-plate floor to lash in a trail bike, hooks all over the outside for tying tarps, screw-in lifting eyes, heavy duty spring struts for the doors, insulated and fibreglass interior, fold-up rear step, plenty of DC and AC wiring and lighting, front cabinets, mini roof vents, tie down points on the roof for kayaks, etc, etc
