The perfect vehicle for South America for these reasons:
-Dimensions: 5.60x2.00x2.70h mt, the perfect size for internal liveability (high roof to stand comfortably upright) and external bulk (easy to park and maneuver in the narrow streets of city centers) and minimal overhang behind the rear wheel (useful for not touching in slope changes)
- engine always reliable and brilliant even at 5000m thanks to the turbodiesel and with car consumption
- spare parts easily encountered in ALL South America as Fiat produces in Argentina and Brazil and the model is the same as the Peugeot Boxer, the Renault JUMPER and RAM Promaster
- from the outside it looks like a common van for passenger transport (often local people ask for hitch-hiking) so it does not attract attention, but is brand new and comfortable inside

For sale our glorious vanhome designed and built in Italy specifically for this long journey in South America that will end in Colombia indicatively in April 2020 with ~ 180.000km, now the van has 168.000km.

The van was maniacally kept by the previous owner (The Netherlands 2002-2018) and by us during this trip (2019-2020).
We have all the receipts or photographic evidence of the interventions made since 2002 to the present.
PLATE AND REGISTRATION: Italy (possibility to sell the vehicle to any nationality)
APPROVAL:
3 seats (we have the third seat in Italy), but designed for this trip for 2 people.
MOTOR 2.8JTD, 128CV:
- in perfect condition (service and maintenance performed regularly) is the Turbodiesel perfect for the high mountain passes or very steep streets of the Andean cities. Also excellent at altitudes of around 5000m. It's reliable as it is not a pushed engine (like modern ones), but a powerful one thanks to the excellent ratio between engine capacity and horsepower (128hp).
It has low fuel consumption: 8,6km / lt - 11,6lt / 100km (USA 20,23mpg - 4,94gal / 100m)
- Webasto engine and cabin pre-heating to guarantee perfect starting in the coldest situations, to prevent the diesel from freezing at night (thanks to the timer) and to use it as an emergency second internal heater
4x4 TRANSMISSION:
- original insertable Dangel technology. It also makes the most challenging tracks easy with mud, sand and stones (as it saved us many times)
MECHANICAL:
- all services made ad in the Fiat manual (proof of all the interventions made by the purchase of the vehicle by the previous owner and by us in Italy and here in South America)
- distribution kit changed to 135,000km (next replacement 235,000km or 2023)
- the van will be sold with new air, fuel and oil filters
- new original radiator changed to 157,000km (for normal deterioration after 17 years of use)
AFTERMARKET SUSPENSION KIT:
- Genko brand oversized front shock absorbers (mounted on ambulances)
- KYB Japan brand rear shock absorbers + AL-KO independent air suspension with additional air tanks (for even softener regulation). This allows you to comfortably set the hardness of the rear axle based on the road conditions (harder on asphalt, softer on dirt roads) for the benefit of driving and especially to save the interior furniture. Moreover it allows to level the right or left part of the rear axle when parked (to position the bed horizontally)
- compressor for tire inflation (useful after routes where tires need to be deflated)
AIR CONDITIONING: original model, installed new in Italy before departure

- electrically operated, Elgena brand with 10lt steel body to heat water at 90 ° C in 1-2 hours of engine running (depending on the water temperature of the tank) or when connected to the 220v of the campsite. For us hot water was always enough for 2 showers and more.
INSULATING (cold / hot):
-van insulation + door ones made specifically for our van by an Italian company specialized in insulation, including windscreen insulation, front windows and side windows, side door insulation and rear doors to independently isolate the bedroom area and the storage compartment.
ELECTRONIC AUTONOMY:
- 2x100W MCR solar panels with charge controllers and display status
(the best Italian brand for motorhome). They load very well even on cloudy days
