picked up my first bike day before yesterday a 92 serow 225. she needs some work, but only has 4600 miles and runs great as far as i can tell. got it to run to class and around campus as well as head down to cheaha, kentuck trail, and TNF to do some exploring.

where is the best place to get new shock boots, grips, tires, ect...

Nice ride! Saw your post on ADV also; I dig your Jeep as well.

BikeBandit and Rocky Mountain ATV and Moto are good places to get general motoparts, and Bike Bandit also has an OEM lookup section. RonAyers also tends to have good pricing on Tires and OEM parts.

Check out Seal Savers instead of normal boots, I plan on replacing my boots with them whenever I take the forks off the bike. http://www.sealsavers.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=3 You can get them from most online stores as well.

I'm not located too far from you, if you ever find yourself a little further north, there is a really good group of guys that ride out of Nashville.

See you around!

Nice. Good to see you made the leap to two wheels. Enjoy the freedom!! I bought a little klr250 this spring to save feeding so much gas to my XJ on 33's.

The little bikes are a blast to ride. I've had several 650s and just love the light weights. They will pretty much go anywhere....alto not very fast. But you get to take in the views. I also love the 60+ mpg.

Have fun!!!:victory:

yea im wanting to keep this bike simple. im thinking a back rack and adding a pair of led driving lights to the front. then just leaving it alone. ive done so much to the jeep that i dont like to drive it as much as i used to because of gas and tires wearing down

well i decided to get rid of the 90's paint theme.

did this

while it was like this i went over all the electrics all the connections and wires look like they are in great shape. no cracks in frame, and the carb had freshly been rebuilt. the oil was changed while i was paying the man at the desk. also checked the chain and oiled it.

anyway now it looks like this
