First post, need advice on possible Montero purchase

I do love that Monetero, but found a very low mileage Lexus GX470 today very close to me. I have an appointment to drive it today and have been pre-approved as well. I may end up with that instead. Thanks to everyone for the replies, and either way, I'll let you all know whichever I decide. :)

Nice! It's be hard to beat a low mileage lexus/toyota, hope you get it man. Remember, the timing belt interval on those 2UZ-FE's is 90k, so if it's around there, factor in that cost.

The truck is at 80k, which to me, seems low. I did read about that. Would it be best to try to get them to replace the belt as part of the deal, or simply reduce the cost? I am sure it's not inexpensive. The Volvo was just shy of 1k for the replacement. I suppose I could get a manual and do it myself as well.

I ended up going with the Lexus. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, and hope to get more advice and learn as I adventure! First thing, I'm not a huge fan of the American Racing wheels that are on the car right now...

That thing is a beauty, I'm sure you'll be happy with it. There should be lots to read up on in the Toyota section, wheels and tires at the top of the list.:smiley_drive:
