First results from my new Fuji FinePix S5200

Tonight I went out to the Torrey Pines Intl. Gliderport looking for some great sunset pics.

You mean "Black's Beach", don't you? Doesn't look like I remember, tho I usually just park up there! It is one of my favorite beaches, tho I do like it better if there's no one else there.

Nice shots. A new camera is really fun, and helps to get your creative spark going. The neat thing about digitals is you can try all sorts of things, and it doesn't cost you anything in film - and if you've got the right photo program (I use iPhoto) it tells you what all your exposure settings were. Take lots and lots and lots of exposures; get a bigger (faster!) memory card if necessary and practice.

I know I need a better pic place than Yahoo......but that's all I've got right now. ....and I'm lucky I can figure Yahoo out!

Personally I use Gallery (unix/php/mysql), but I've got my own webserver so that's really easy. I store most of my pictures in iPhoto, then transfer them using iPhoto2gallery. Not that fancy, but it does the job, and has multiple levels of security which is convenient.

So SWR, do you still use this camera ? I have the opportunity to pick one up for 25 bucks and wonder if I should do it ........
From the reviews I have read about it online, it got good ratings when it first came out.

Yes I'm still using mine. And I love it!


Grab that thing at $25 bucks! That's a Gift!



I've been starting to look for an upgrade since all the prices keep coming down. When I find a new one, I'll give this one to one of my kids!
