Someone else put a flippac on a trailer, there's a thread here.

But he wasn't using a longbed, looks like maybe he had it on a 6 ft bed? I'm pretty sure this one being sold will fit on a 8ft x 5ft bed when closed (that’s what mine is). Then as Troy said, you would roughly double it to get the length ... so about 16 ft? Is this the dimension you’re asking about? Yes you climb in through the tailgate, then up into the bed area.

As to the interior, nothing much there except 2 * 12V lights and the mattress in the flippy part. Everyone builds out their interior differently. I think you can make this one work if I’m getting what you’re up to. Would be difficult to photo the interior if he has it up on sawhorses. So maybe these will help:

There’s some pics of my interior and such on page 8 of this huge thread. Mine is a full size, longbed (like this one for sale).

Louie’s amazing (very) custom build is here. Full size, but not a longbed – regular (6 ft) bed I think.

Pics of VikingVince’s build are on BajaTaco’s website, Tacoma, regular bed.

Safari Pacific’s super-short bed (4 ft) AT flippac, on a Ranger.

Mario’s AT flippac on a Jeep Comanche, guessing his is a regular bed? Not sure.

Yes. The original picture should show it on a truck. This shell was built for the bed of a full size Ford pick up truck. I have never had it in rain but the tent is in good condition and shows no holes or tears. It is clean. I believe the bed is a double with a four inch mattress. The shell weighs 340 pounds.

Great phots to use as examples. The sawhorses make it difficult to photo now. Thanks for the help

Had this been up a few months ago I would have been all over it. Alas in my expo efforts I sold my long bed f150 and moved to the K5 blazer I have now. I actually found it ironic as I had searched country wide for months looking for a used flippac for my f150, before eventually deciding to go another way.

Matt I believe you were the Ford in the far north I was thinking of, too bad.

Bump for this deal, somebody here needs a longbed flippac! You just won't believe how comfy and simple your camping situation gets with one of these.

Oh yeah, price is $600. Take it away!!!!!

I just posted a link in the Domestic: Full Size and Other thread. That might get the sale?? The cost for a replacement tent alone is $600. Great deal here! And I also use UShip. It's a great service. My Flip Pac was shipped from CA to OH for $225 using UShip.

Good luck!

Measurements are:
64.5 Inches wide at front of bed
64.5 inches wide at rear of bed (flexible between 63.5-65 inches)
97 inches in length.
Photos are difficult because it is not mounted on truck any longer.
It sits on 5 foot tall saw horses to aid in mounting and dismounting from truck.
