FlipPac Handle Carnage

Damn! That would have sucked had you not had a handle on that (bad pun).

I'll weld it up for ya. :D

Milled, expensive shiny trailer hitch from viking = stupid.

Milled, overly beefed, one-piece Flippac (or Autohome Maggolina) operating lever = awesome foresight.

We didn't break our Maggiolina tents handle, but we lost it once. I realized that we would have been SOL if I had left it at our previous destination.

Glad nobody got fragged by that, Dave. You've had enough traumatic injury for this lifetime, sir. :)

Yes, if Gabe is too busy to weld it, I am also in Upland and it would take about 5 minutes to fix it right.

Can you open the FlipPac without the handle? Do you carry a spare?

He has mine, I'm out of flipping commission for a little while.

You can open without a handle, but it's a PITA - pushing it up and over from inside. I've never quite figured out how to CLOSE it without a handle though.

Looks like he has his choice of welders, nice :)

Thanks for the loaner Linda, my recent trip to Baileys cabin would have been a no-go without it...

... now if I just had time for a road trip to get mine fixed. I'm thinking it needs to be "Dave-proofed" so this never happens again.

Thanks AT!

Big thanks to Mario, and Clint and the crew at AT's shop!

Here's the newly repaired welds, significantly more penetration and build up of metal than the original.
