I still think you owe folks an explanation here. Your original thread said that you purchased the lights for a project that never happened and just wanted to get what you had in them. Then, when people agree to buy you send a business invoice, often pushing paypal fees onto the buyer (still against the rules for paypal iirc) and now you're talking about your shipment of lights being held up in customs. So it sounds like you're operating as a business, which i believe requires some approval from the mods here to make sure that people aren't getting ripped off.

so what's the deal, are you selling as a business or just looking to move some stuff you have laying around?

Actually my thread stated I won a bid on 200 which I didn't think I would. I needed lights for a project which I got, plus a butt load of extras. Yes I was selling of the extras I had and is exactly why I encouraged people to buy loads and resell. I didn't want the hassle with them! As far as selling on pirate, sure wasnt me. However there's plenty vendors there with higher prices the what I sold mine for.
When i was selling these at first i was allowing people to either cover the fee of gift the money over. The issue with gifting is no address is listed from the sender & not everyone included a shipping address in the comment section. This lead to hectic times trying to get in contact with people, remember who's email goes to who's user name, ect ect. So I started invoicing folks, this way I had a list of address and what people bought. I do this when selling ANYTHING! A paypal invoice can be sent by any one person owning a paypal account. Not just businesses.
And according to paypal the 3.92% can be added to the invoice, it actually gives you that option on the invoice sheet.

Customers. Did they buy from me? Yes, making them a customer or buyer. What else should I say here?

I guess next time if you want to pick me apart you should come correct with facts. My thread stated I won a excess of lights that I bid on and was selling extras. I also made it extremely clear I had "X" amount and no more were for sale after that. Hence why I D to get extras for the last few guys since some were stolen from my residence.

I think all anyone in this thread wanted was a little more transparency, especially with the thread dissappearing and all. honestly i was surprised to get an invoice from a business (especially when that business is called "Dezertz Custom LEDs") when you said this was a personal thing, also the buyers paying paypal fees wasn't something that was I recalled being mentioned in the thread.

FWIW, i've just gone to try and create an invoice in paypal and was not given the option to charge the paypal fees to the buyer, and everywhere on the site, everything says that buyers pay no fees, and the seller pays a nominal fee to receive payment.

also, from paypal's User agreement, section 4:

4. Receiving Money.

4.1 Receiving Personal Payments. If you are selling goods or services, you may not ask the buyer to send you a Personal Payment for the purchase. If you do so, PayPal may remove your ability to accept Personal Payments.

...

4.6 No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions.

then, after the lights were stolen, why order more to fill orders? why not just refund those people their money, apologize for the inconvenience and move on? Especially since you claim that this was a one-time thing, as you received the LEDs via an Ebay auction.

Look, I don't have any particular beef with you, there are just a lot of things that throw up red flags and people want(ed) clarification. If you're a vendor you should own up to it and square up with Expo management like the other folks that are vendors here do. That is my only real issue with the deal.

I did indeed refund a few people, others still wanted lights so I met the commitment I had to them. The ones who asked for a refund before I bought more were refunded.
And ill snap a pic of paypal where it gives that option for the 3.92%

I don't see any place on the invoice creation page where you can "add 3.92%"

If "adding a percentage fee to cover the transaction prcessing fee" is against paypal policy, why on earth would they give an option to do it?
This is sounding more fishy with every post.
