FOR SALE: 2005 Land Rover LR3 SE w/ HD Package
Location: San Jose, California, USA
Description: LR3 / Discovery 3 SE w/ HD Package(locking rear differential). 143k miles. Enthusiast owned & maintained. The car is in great mechanical and cosmetic condition with to be expected blemishes. The car has been my daily driver-adventure vehicle for the past 5 years. I have taken it up and down Arizona & CA and has always gotten me through everything I've thrown at it. The drive is firm and predictable and the driving position is the best of any SUV allowing you great visibility in front and around you. Tires are BFGoodrich K02 275/70/R18 (33") with less than 2K miles on factory 5-spoke wheels in gloss black. Currently rubs a bit on slow half-crank turns as I have not yet made any trims to the plastics. 2.5" Proud Rhino lift rods in addition to GAP Diagnostic IIDTool w/ Bluetooth Connectivity- Enables full diagnostic monitoring and suspension adjustability via the app. You can read errors, view and diagnose problems and set preset heights. Full Poly bushings in upper and lower control arms both front and rear in addition to balljoints, and tie-rods replaced at 130K miles. Proud Rhino SYA Off Road Extension Kit. This allows the airbags to maintain full travel with a lift without sacrificing the ride. Both the alternator and battery were replaced within the last 2 years. Air Compressor was replaced with an AMK compressor from Lucky8 LLC and has been programed accordingly. Both front airbags are newer. Rear airbags have not been replaced by me- likely still factory airbags; I would expect these to need replacing within the next couple years. I will likely be replacing the brakes soon as I continue to drive the car. I will update this thread accordingly.
Full Maintenance completed at 130K miles including factory Land Rover fluids in differential, transmission & new transmission filter, routine oil changes at ~5K miles with Mobile 1 High Mileage. Spark plugs, wires, etc. Front window glass is tinted 20% to match the rear with ceramic tint as well as the front windshield w/ 50% Ceramic- This is a huge plus as there are a lot of windows that can make the interior warm up quickly in the summer. There's a lot more that I'm sure I am forgetting, but let me know if you have any questions. I'm selling to get a newer Discovery 5.
Cold Weather Package, Factory removable tow hitch, 5-Seater, GAP IIDTool w/ BT included.
Price: $8,000
*Additional Photos & Videos are available upon request. I want to ensure a seamless transition of ownership to its new family.
Known Problems: Brakes pads, 2 split seams in passenger-front seat bottom, cracked dash from originally being an AZ car, intermittent suspension fault- likely a partially clogged valve block. This doesn't affect the drivability and will most often go away after a reset w/ the GAP tool or a restart. Rear DISCOVERY emblem has a few missing letters.
