Your adventure awaits. This low mileage, 4x4 E250 van is ready for you to imagine an independent and free lifestyle, or tow your toys-be they horses or motorized— just about anywhere. This is the ideal platform for you to make the capable overlander of your dreams at an affordable price.
2014 was the last model year for the E250-with a time tested drive train that won't leave you stranded. Its simplicity is reliable and easily maintained. Parts are readily available and relatively cheap. The engine is an efficient but plenty powerful V8 5.4l-- this is the 2 valve/cylinder Triton engine which is considered simpler and more reliable than the 3-valve 5.4l found in the F-250 pickups. During our ownership, oil and filters were changed every 3,000 miles. A peek at the under carriage and you'll see everything as it should be. This van is barely broken in at 46,000 miles.
The interior passenger seats are removed, but carpet and paneling remain for you to choose how you want to finish this van. The body is in excellent condition--no rust, no dents or dings; paint is in very good condition. The driver and passenger seats are covered in grey cloth that shows almost no wear. The ONLY thing it suffers is the AC isn't holding a charge.
The 4wd conversion was done in Salt Lake by Advanced FourWheel Drive Systems immediately after purchase in 2015. While we have never taken the van off road, the 4wd system is exercised several times a week to pull a horse trailer up our steep gravel driveway. The good folks at Advanced installed:
