FOR SALE: 1994 Toyota 4 Runner 4WD. M/T 5VZFE. 3" Lift 33" Tires.

Location: New Town, ND

Description: Black 4WD with 5spd and 5VZFE 3.4L V6

I purchased this vehicle roughly 2 years ago in Colorado. The body has 265k miles. I do not have paper work on the swap so i don't know the mileage on the engine/trans but what i can say.. for a 4 runner on 33's that has not been re-geared the engine still pulls in 5th gear up hill. Trans has never grinded any gears or shown any sign of issues in my years. 4WD still works great. Clutch grabs just fine, no slip.

Long story: I had plans to go all out on this truck. Shortly after purchasing it life took a much different turn in the form of moving to North Dakota to work in the oil field. The truck became purely a commuter to get to and from work and the project of building an all out expo/crawler rig was pushed aside for the foreseeable future. For those of you familiar with the harsh conditions of ND, this truck has made it through two winters starting every single day in -35 degree weather and has never failed me once. Ive owned a Lexus is300 with over 200k and have a brother who had an older SR5 pick up and 04 tacoma 4wd but this was the true testament to toyota reliability for me. It breaks me everyday knowing the potential of this truck and that with some real TLC it could be brought back to life and be a very capable rig but my needs and wants have also changed over time as well.

Dislikes and Reasons for selling: We will start at the front bumper and go through the whole truck. It doesn't have a front bumper... I hit a deer in the face with the Passenger headlight at 65mph over a year ago in the dead of winter lost control, spun around a couple times and wound up in a roadside ditch as my whole life flashed before my eyes. That jerk came out of nowhere! I replaced the grill, Both headlights and corner lights, Passenger fender, Used a hammer and a 2x4 to straighten some areas out and got it back together pretty nicely for what had happened. less then 5 days later and $5-600 worth of parts and my time later. 5:30 am and another ******* deer jumps from the side of the road straight into my passenger headlight and left the damage you will see in the photos. I was angry and didn't wanna fix it this time! To my surprise the vehicle still ran great. When i wanted to give up the truck didn't. It kept going and going and going everyday. It needed an alignment but that was just a party favor to me. As far as i can tell there is no frame damage and the alignment cleared all factory specs.

-Front corners need bulbs and some simple wire repair but everything is there. both headlights work.
-The core support is bent although the radiator is firmly in tact and not leaking. i put a new radiator in it, idler arm, LBJ's and all fluids change shortly after purchase in Colorado. oil changes have been done regularly.
-Intake filter is filthy and needs replacement.
-Underhood fuse box is still there and everything works, the mount that holds it in place is cracked. It doesn't move around much or cause any problems though.
-The battery dies if u don't drive it for three days but starts with no problem when using jumper cables. if you start it and drive it for at least 10-15 minutes everyday it will start the next day.
-The wheel bearings are brand new, passenger axle brand new, and replaced passenger hub used from eBay.
-Two front tires are BFG A/Ts with less then a few thousand miles on them. Rears are BFG M/Ts with 20% left.
-the steering is like any other vehicle with 265k miles on it...its good enough to daily drive but it could use some bushings and a fluid change.
-The exhaust has a leak at the collector.
-I can't remember what i was told about the suspension because i was gonna re do it anyways at the time i bought it but its just fine for daily driving and mild 4 wheeling.
-The dash has a few cracks which are common of this generation.
-The interior is very dusty and needs a healthy vacuuming and dusting.
-The A/C does not work and the fan switch no longer works to operate the fan. Id replace the climate control unit and call it a day.
-The driver seat has worn through the fabric in the common spots.
The rear window will go down if u are persistent with it. I think the switch has collected a lot of dust and needs to be cleaned out and should be good to go. all other windows work.
-The registration expired last october and i have not re-registered the vehicle. it still has colorado plates. We can discuss this.
-It could probably use some brake pads but the vehicle stops just fine and doesn't have any shimmy/wobble when stopping.
-The paint isn't oxidizing but definitely needs to be refreshed with a wash and wax.

I have tried to think of any and every little annoyance that i can with this vehicle. I really don't want to get rid of it but i will. I have dreams at night of restoring the entire thing and dropping 10k on it to bring it back to life and continue the history I've just laid out for you. But time and energy are evading me and right now and a rebuild to get it in pristine condition just isn't in the cards for me at the moment. i also am in need of a truck with a bed so trade offers will be looked at seriously. Based on the rules of this website i have to post a price....

$3000 OBO

I have sometime before I finally let go so i will entertain the best offers/trades i receive. If I'm not breaking any rules i may update the thread with the current best offer that I've recieved as interest gauges. Right now i do have a local offer for $1000. Pictures will be posted shortly.
