For Sale: Snap Outfitters Treehouse - $8,000
Located in Maryland, but can drive to meet within reason
For a Full Size Short Bed Truck (5.5’). Currently on a Ram 1500
I am the second owner of this camper. It's production unit #12 and it was custom made for the first owner in 2019. The original owner had a Chevy 1500. It’s been on the back of my truck since spring of 2021 and its been installed and worked on several times by Snap Outfitters. I’ve got well over 500 nights in this camper and it’s taken me all over North America. You can see that trip at the link below
See documentary:
The Treehouse is a wedge style camper. The roof, which is capable of holding 200lbs with the current strut setup (more if you upgrade), lifts with struts making set up time next to nothing. Once inside you'll find a sleeping platform that is 75.5" L x 52" wide. This sleeping platform is also on struts and raises out of the way to gain full interior height throughout the camper. I am not a small man, I stand at 6ft 6 inches tall and I had plenty of room to sleep and move around inside the camper.
Electronics inside are pretty basic. I have installed National Luna Touch lights in all the factory locations, and those are bi-color with a Red setting. they also have 3 different brightness settings on each color. There is one in the sleeping area and two on the underside of the sleeping platform. There's also a fan (see note below) with three speed settings. All three lights and the fan are on one switch located in the factory power location. I've pigged tailed into this section to allow more flexibility when installing the camper. The camper master 12v lead is also on an Anderson SB50 plug. I've also installed a new USB plug up there as well.
This model also has 4 total side doors. Two solid front doors and two slider window doors. The rear hatch has a flat plastic window. That plastic window has some etching on it where I sprayed bug spray on it when I was fighting mosquitoes in the Canadian Summer.
Total weight is around 400LBS
Now to the bad news:
The Worst - the Fan currently leaks. The sealant needs to be replaced, I have plans to fix it before the sale. It's not a big deal to fix. Willing to negotiate on price if you want to fix that yourself.
The Bad - The things been used. A lot. I lived in the thing for 8 months with my dog. There is a bit of dirt, dust and dog hair that I can't seem to ever get rid of. One of the lower slider windows has a broken latch but it still closes. I removed the inner window plastics because they annoyed me. There's some paint chips and powder coat chips and rust.
Upgrades that are staying
Interior lights - all of the interior lighting has been replaced with National Luna Touch lighting. They are bi-color with a Red setting
The back wall has a carpeted 3/4” plywood plate for mounting. I’ve used it to mount everything from water heaters, to electrical, to fishing rods. It’s there to be versatile. All you need is wood screws to attach items to it.
Bolt Down Installation - 4 bolts on either side. 8 total. I still have the standard clamps as well.
Propane Mount - built by Snap. Designed for 13lb propane tanks.
Solar Array - 300 watt solar array. Currently wired in a 200W/100W configuration. Was originally designed to be split between truck and camper batteries. Anderson connectors on camper interior.
Camper Power Relocation - the factory camper power location has been moved to a pig tail with an Anderson SB50 to make it more flexible.
Roof Storage Boxes - Apache double cases.
Awning brackets - Designed, built, and installed by Snap Outfitters
If you see anything in the photos that you particularly want or are interested in, let me know. There's only a few things I flat out won't sell, and those are listed below.
What is not staying/not for sale
270 Awning
Dometic Water System
Exped mattress
This is a very well built camper that has served me very well. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
