For the Land Cruiser braintrust: Did any LC have a 6-lug 16x6.5" wheel?

Looking for the "right" wheel to mount a set of Michelin XZL's and the manufacturer spec is 6.5" wide.

There are lots of 4Runner / Taco / LC wheels over the years that are 16x7", but I can't find anything 16x6.5.

Thought I'd ask here. I'd like to stay with an original Toyota wheel, though either steel or alloy is fine.

The NON-US 16" split rims may be that wide, I think that would be your best bet. Seems like they are all mostly 16x7 that we have here.Good luck in the search.

Yep, some seem to think a 9.00R16 tire is even fine on a 16x8 rim (since the tire is essentially 35x10). I'm not sure why Michelin specifies a 6.5" rim width.

I'm going to try it on a 16x8 and then change if it doesn't work. Unless someone else has experiences to share?

Not 6.5 but 6" width, I like these.... found on 70 series LC's and Hilux's...

I have five of those in my garage, as a future project for my 2001 Tacoma. Got 'em from Cruiser Dan at a good price.

It's a LC wheel fershure. I don't think it ever came stock on a Hilux, did it?

Toyodiy shows them on Hilux's (88-97) in Toyota's European and General market... but I don't know for sure.

Have never seen it on a Hilux in Africa, FWIW. But we usually get RoW wheel packages (cheap alloys rather than steelies).

Anyone know if you can mount a 255/100R16 tire on a 16x8 wheel? I don't see why not, since my 255/85R16 BFG KM2's are on 16x8 wheels, but am I missing something?

Those UK wheels are not the ones I normally see on Hilux models in Europe -- but they do indeed look like exactly the same wheel as the LC-70 series in the US Toyota parts book.

For reference, here are some shots of steelies older Hiluxes or LC Prado models over the last few years. Ya gotta love the simplicity of the old split rims.

More importantly where did you find XZL's? Are they new? Does your source have many on hand? Lastly, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend?
