Huh, interesting. Any reason to go with one or the other? I did a quick Build/price on both (added only the Tremor pkg). F350 was $1k more.
Do you need a sticker that has a higher payload on it? Both the 250 and 350 tremor suspensions are exactly the same, you might save in registration costs in your state. Are you going to leave the truck stock and enjoy a warranty and easy repair at ant ford dealer? If these answers are yes, then look hard at the tremor. The tremor also gives you drive modes which work really well, espically the crawl control. Today I went hunting In a remote area, I really like the 35’s, rear locker and 4:30 gears, plenty of grunt and traction to get through the nasty stuff.

im not a ford guy by any means, but I’m extremely impressed with this truck and the 7.3 gas.

The supercab is surprisingly roomy, but I don't think it's remotely close to the prior generation crew cab. The 2016 crew cabs had 42.1" of rear legroom, the 2017+ crew cabs have 43.6" and the 2017+ super cab has 33.5" of rear legroom. Pretty much a nonstarter if you need to fit car seats.

And it’s not just the legroom. Clamshell doors are a pain in the neck. I drop my kids off at school at times. Having to get out, run to the pass side, open both doors and let the kids out, while there is a line of parents in a hurry behind you. Not ideal.

Yes, ready to go from the factory is preferred for me. I think the Tremor is a good value for what you get.

ford has a ton of cab room in the crew cab. I really appreciate all that room. I just went hunting with a budd, the bed was loaded down with gear and the back seat held our bows and spare arrows. Without all this room, we would just take less gear. I really like being able to haul everything I need to, vacations with the family, we always take the truck.

I have a Tundra Access Cab and a Crew Cab 250. The Ext Cab 250 has slightly more room than my Tundra, but not even remotely close enough to make it comfortable. Enough to make it manageable for short trips or unexpected situations? Absolutely. By no means am I going to give up the everyday comfort for some “ability” that might get used once or twice a year. I think someone in here always likes to spout off “learn to drive”, which I think this is actually that most appropriate situation for lol I don’t mind a little tree scars or an extra 2 pts in a turn though, and damn sure not giving up the already meager fuel capacity for the smaller tank of the ext cab short bed.

I was pricing out an XL. Interesting that it’s only offered in that trim. If I were to get an XL, it would seem to be worth the $1,700 upgrade to the 7.3. I can’t imagine the 6.8 getting much better MPG.

Having said that, I also priced out an XLT that comes standard with the 7.3. With similar options, the overall price was essentially the same (if not a little cheaper for the XLT). Both about $60k. Not like the old days (meaning, pre-pandemic) where XL’s could be had for thousands less than XLT.

XLT Tremor was $63.8k which would be the ticket for me as it comes with a lift and 35’s.

Yeah I noticed similar to all of this. I was up into the 80s with an STX package XL with 6.8. Once you add 4WD and some options it jumps in price.
However the XLT with Sport package came in at 85k CAD and I find it quite ugly.
If I'm going to be only saving a couple grand on the XL by the time it's said and done I'd just get the 7.3

Really glad I'm broke and don't need a truck right now.

Yes prices have gone crazy. I paid 53k for my XLT premium tremor back in 2021.

Yes, it’s nauseatingly expensive right now.
I can’t find any Ford dealer willing to go below MSRP. Some are still above that (“market adjustment” aka I’ll charge you more just because I can).
I’ve found a couple Ram dealers willing to deal but they are far away (day or two drive).

I priced out a Tradesman Powerwagon back in 2020 for right above $40k. Currently, best price I can find is $55k. At least they got rid of the chrome bumper though.

I've heard / read Granger Ford gives good enough deals to fly in and drive home. No dealings with them personally though.

No clue if that is valid on Super Duties as well.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about granger ford, I’ll definitely look at them for my next purchase.

Granger is $1500 over invoice on 23’ Super Duty orders.
