Happy to finally see inside this rig! Loved your last rig, thought about trying to buy it. Like a lot of the design here but there are several areas where this fails that earthroamer comparison. Some include that small passthru which seems to only be sized for a dog. I'm not interested in having to get out to get in my rig. And pooping literally at the stove is something beyond a fail. A shower / bath entrance is a great use of space. We've seen it done well but this execution is a strong NO from all women needing to do woman things... The suggestion that either mate is going outside for the other uses the bathroom... I'm not selling my home to go on the road to have to do that?! At this price, a few things would have to be reworked for me, which may or may not be possible. Still, overall, lots of innovation and design. GLWS and thanks for sharing your version of greatness!
Hi Sir or Miss, thank you for your comments.
I wanted to respond to each point:
The Pass-through is the exact same width as an Earthroamer, it can not be any wider as it is up to the width of each front seat.
I am 6'-4" and 220 lbs and I go through with room to spare.
In an Earthroamer you can not store even one bicycle, no toys at all inside, because they use up all that area for a big enclosed toilet and shower that is used for only 30 minutes per person per day.
If a person loves living an active life, then they need an area to Easily and securely store their toys inside, so they don't get stolen outside. This camper layout provides that, and no other camper company made something like this, because they were just making a production line camper, basically a standard RV, just with 4x4. I wanted to make it the most secure, roomy, toy storage safe camper ever (and with this layout, you don't even see the toys)
An active life to store things that complement that life is more important to me and many others, than a toilet and shower which is rarely used, which this camper perfectly will accomplish.
Lastly, this $425,000 overland camper is far less expensive than a $850,000 ER Overland camper that does not store any play things, and it only has 1 bedroom while this has 2 bedrooms, and so so much more, in power, water capacity and on and on.
An, Earthroamer, as many say, is a glorified showoff 4x4 yacht RV layout.
For the $450,000 less in cost, you could get a 3 story house on the beach in Panama and bring in $8,000 a week on rental, so all these factors were important to myself, and no one else provides them, so I built it.
But, I do mean this, I am very grateful for you taking the time to write me. Perhaps the standard RV layout is the best for you as it has a large bathroom, vs storage.
I am certain we would have a great time hanging out together coming up with great ideas.
Thank you again.
Very respectfully,
Erik
