That looks very well doneIs this the legit way to do this? This is what he sent me, the truck is no longer listed as available but I really appreciate the knowledge.
The above steering is an attempt at what the ttb world refers to as full swing steering, could be better but is an improvement.I don't know what he's got going on for steering/ tie rods. :sombrero:

.
Full swing TTB, makes the tie rods the same length and angle as the swing arms.
Yeah ******?Ram assist to the pitman arm, whaaaaat? :wings:
Here is that Uhaul based build: http://www.sarconcepts.com/?page_id=106
Here are some shots of pitman arms with a ram assist:
I spoke with him a few weeks ago about an obs eclb that looked very nice but it was lifted on a ttb dana 50. Sprung under from the pix so I had him send me some more pix of the front end. I just don't know enough about the right way that is supposed to be done so I passed. It is stupid expensive to fly from either Reno or Sacramento last minute (I live at Tahoe) to SLC so it would be a big roll of the dice. I appreciate your offer and may take you up on it!
You' right, he does get some nice rigs. I am always checking his website and right now it looks like he only has two fords for sale. Almost all of the inventory he has posted has already been sold.

It's absolutely applicable to the D50TTB but different, the D50 has shorter arms so it doesn't need to be taken to such an extreme, the setup in the pic jonb96150 posted is more appropriate for a D50. In stock form no, but as soon as you lift it yes, the TTB suffers from bump steer that changes the toe with travel and that kills tires. A leaf setup can travel, the stock one just doesn't.Good lordy thats a lot of joints and hardware. :Wow1:
Is that applicable to the leaf sprung units or primarily coil?
I honestly do not see the benefit of such a setup on leaf sprung, due tot he utter lack of travel in OE form.
Sure but vs. short travel A-arm IFS, I'd take the TTB.
