I can't believe that after hearing so many people on the boards I have visited the last few years scream for more capable offroad vehicles like in the past, that we continue to not only not get one but progress further to such offerings as this. That is just not my idea of a truck, looks like a sports car.

Maybe what the 2011 Ranger will look like, that is if Ford decides to keep it in the line up.

the thing I don't understand is why ford did not bring the 4 door ranger to NA. Instead we get the sport trac! Can't they see how well the tacoma, frontier and colorado 4 doors have done?

There's no economic justification for redesigning the Ranger for USA.
An stripped (oops, I mean de-contented) F150 with an Ecoboost engine
(maybe even 4 cylinder version) will be cheaper for Ford to build and
sell. Too bad, but US automakers have to be more careful with their
cash in 2010. The market for pickup trucks is still fragile, despite some
recovery in sales.

OZ Ford knows where it's at... common rail diesel:drool: and a cab-chassis option. Wake up Ford, this is a perfect answer to small business that are looking for an affordable fleet truck here in NA. Way better than that transit garbage.
