Ford telescoping mirror measurements

I am considering replacing my current mirrors with the Ford E series telescoping mirrors.

If you have them on your 2003 and up E series van, can you post the measurements from the mount to the outer edge of the mirror when extended and collapsed?

extended = 18-inch
collapsed = ?? (can't measure as we have convex mirrors attached to the arms which prevents collapsing)

These are ford mirrors, not aftermarket.
