Ford Transit Cab Chassis with Composite Camper

Was trying to having a weekend... Answered questions on the fly. Sorry for the delay.
We are using water proof rivets on some of our corner extrusions. These rivets DO NOT reach the interior! They are also not structural as they are only needed to bond the extrusions during the customization process. So far nobody has raised any concern or complained about them. But if our customers wish, they can certainly remove them and fill the holes. Cheers,

Ohhhh…so THAT's how it works! I was wondering about this detail myself.

♫ Off road, again. Just can't wait to get...
Nice build. May have some questions as I go through it again. Well done!

Any worry about frost or condensation in the cab portion during winter camping with the pass through?

I am in north central Alberta I am looking to build something similar, but a major goal is winter camping for skiing, sledding, etc. and the low insulation levels in the cab portion have me worried about having a pass through. Would a large removable panel be possible to seal up between the camper and the cab for winter camping?

Also what is the axle ratio you chose?

To be honest with you, I have no idea about the gearing... Wasn't on the top of my list :) I also had not much say on the specs when I got my dealer to look for one. My criteria where: the wheelbase, gas engine, Cut away chassis, single rear wheel, color white and max load capacity. As far as I know, I got the last 2019 available in Canada. They brought it to Victoria from Alberta.
As for the pass through: We ship out the kit with a "man door" opening that can easily be closed off with a sliding door for insulation and safety. IMG_4902.jpeg

Cannot wait to see your finished interior, Andreas!
It's a work in progress... Water system almost done... Cabinets are mostly in place, drawers are ordered, Cork flooring arrived today, electrical being worked on, installed more windows, pass through trim is a story on it's own and will need some time to think about it to make it look very nice...
The outside is 90% done. All that's missing are the rub bars along the roof line, bumper needs to be powder coated, diesel heater fuel tank needs a cover and some general detail work.

Overall, it's a fun project with not too much frustration other than the 5000000 trips to the hardware store for screws and stuff.

So far, the total for everything including materials and truck is hovering around CAD$65.000 (US$~55.000) Therefore my estimation with building this for well under 80.000 is certainly possible. That is about 50.000 less than the closest comparison within the RV industry.

Sorry after reading my message I was not super clear. I am wondering about options to have a full size pass through during the summer months, but blocking it off during the winter. A full size pass through and swivel seats is a really nice feature. Sort of a best of both worlds.

Yes I know I want my cake and to eat it too.
