We saw the fort when we stopped in Bluff to do some laundry. Did you make it out to Recapture Pocket? It' a canyon full of hoodoos roughly 5-6 miles north east of Bluff. We stayed there 3 days and never saw a soul. The only drawback was our catahoula ended up with a mouth and nose full of porcupine quills.

No we did not . At that point in the trip we needed to head home. Besides we were not camping. Just a good excuse to go back.
