After reading threads and daydreaming about the day I woukd own a suburban, even almost trading for one sight unseen, a clean 91 showed up on facebook, just a couple miles down the road.
Its a 1500, silverado, very very clean inside, a little paint blemishes, 4" lift, rear air, and has a rebuilt 5.7.

I swapped my 03 bombardier ds650 for it straight across, we trade titles tomorrow. Best part is, I was only into the quad 900 $!
Build will be mild, roof rack, exterior lighting upgrades, stero install, 14 bolt semi floater, rear tire carrier, front winch bumper and some get outta trouble goodies. Ie high lift, shovels etc.

Onky have a few pics now, will add more tomorrow or the next day.

Super stoked right now!

Nice! That looks very similar to the one I was dangling in front of you...just very cleaned up!! I am curious if yours has the dual shocks in front as well? Did you get the 3rd row as well?

Mind the door push button if it has barn doors, mine was illustrated by the prior owner, and after he told me about it I remembered my step-dad's 1984 also kept the barn door button in the glovebox!!! If the old plastic breaks your button goes bouncing behind you!! I haven't researched the fix yet, but when I find it I will share it (if you have barn doors).

Are you carting a family or just yourself?

It has barn doors yeah, single shock setup. It has 4" blocks in the rear, those will come out when the axke gets swapped, and new shocks will go all around.
I'm not following the rear door button issue, are you saying your pre emptivly removing the button in case it breaks?
And yeah its barn doors, that was pretty high on my must have list!

Its got 3rd row, only 3 of us in my family, nice to have the 3rd row though, my friends all have kids as well. Its actually a 9 seater. Has buckets up front with an aftermarket middle seat that's pretty trick. I won't be buikding any sleeping platform or anything, we are going to buy an alaknak tent from cabelas for hunting camp and longer stays, and we have a coleman instatent for overnighters, as well as hammocks and other backpacking gear. Really the most expo type of travel it will see is yhe wabdr, its going to be more of a destination camping vehicle thsts overbuilt lol.

Did you sell thst burban you had to another board member?

On the barn door button: just raising awareness that it is a common failure....when it does fail and your wife brings you a black button and says " This was in the driveway!" you will grin and say "You know, there was some interweb jerk telling me about this 3 years ago!" and then you will put it in the glove box! My seller remembered it after I came back to pull the burb out of the mud.

Not even to my house yet, I want to get it running and cleaned up before I offer it for sale, but I am asking people I know to keep an eye out for interested parties. Mainly so I can try to ease my beating I will have to take from my wife when it shows up in the driveway! The bonus is I have been married for 8+ years so we all know it's not like she can cut me off!!!
