FWIW Australian 4WD Monthly did a great review on a handful of common selling 12V freezer/fridge units in their last edition. I'll be back in the states early next month and will try and post a scan of the review. I found it pretty decent overall.

In their 'last edition' This is a brand new fridge review, far more extensive than their last comparison (your link) and it include the brand new ARB unit as well as several other new units. It appeared in issue #137 (I think) which is still on the newstands here in Aussie.

PS, the revised latch handle for the ARB fridges is complete

Does anyone know if ARB is coming out with a slide lock for the fridge. I like the unit but $240 for the slide tray is a little much.

How would you guys compare the new ARB 50qt to a Waeco/Dometic CF-50? They both have the same compressor and are of similar size.

How would you guys compare the new ARB 50qt to a Waeco/Dometic CF-50? They both have the same compressor and are of similar size.

The first two things that comes to mind is one the Waeco is $150+ less then the ARB and second the lid on the Waeco is reversible and hinged on the long side.
