Hi,
Just committed to a 2014 4x4 Sprinter. The van saw a few years of use as a fridge unit, transporting food stuff, cold, not frozen. Rear box is empty but has a liner, probably not vacuum sealed. From what I see in the windows its stuffed with expansive foam and outer coat seems to be a fiberglass covered resin. It looks pretty clean and well sealed out, no leak holes for water or perforations. Here is a picture so you get an idea. Im buying with the fridge unit removed.

My thoughts are whether I should go through the hassle of removing the liner, or just using this insulation to start out with the build, considering a few cut outs here and there. I will remove the cargo - drive seat panel so i´ll then see what the insides of the liner are. But I also thought cutting down on the floor as well, just to peak under and see if its rusted out. Under the floor rust seems to be the main concern with fridge to camper conversions.
What do ya´ll think?
