Front Runner Stainless Steel Camp Table

Since I moved to a chuckbox instead of the Cabelas Kitchen setup I have used the past three year, I do not really have a table strong enough to hold chuck.

The large Cabelas roll top table I test fitted chuck on a few months back I would not trust with that much weight.

I was surfing ATs site today during lunch at work, and I see they have the Front Runner tables.

I think I read here before someone was using this table.
Looks to be up to the task of holding chuck very well.
Anyone using this table?
If so, how do you like it?

Front Runner Table rules!

I have been running the narrower Front Runner Table with Basin since November. I love it. I am also a dealer for Front Runner to be up front. I have been using mine in my kitchen/shop as well as on the road. I've been traveling for 6000 miles since Feb, the table has packed really well, I have some z-channels on order to carry the table under the rack, which will be sweet. Cons:
-legs are too short for a counter height, which makes it perfect for a dining table height. I will be making leg extensions for these tables this summer, once the legs are adjustable, it will be perfect.
-the top has some flex, but after seeing how much weight it can take, it isn't a concern, for me.

If you are thinking of ordering one, do it now, but expect a wait, there may be a few left on the container coming over that aren't claimed.

In my raft guide days we used the roll up slat tables, in comparison, I like how this packs smaller.

Thats my opinion.

Thanks Jeremy, I am pretty sure it was you I spoke with last time on the forum here about the table in another thread.

I saw the cheaper one with the basin it it too.
I would have to measure chuck's base to see if it will fit OK on the table like you have.

I like the roll top for its small size it packs down too, but it is just way to flimsy to use for something as heavy as the box.

Totally agree on the flimsy bit. This table is not flimsy, thats for sure, for your chuck box, I think it would be killer and the one I have that's narrow is deep enough to fit your box, I'm pretty sure. Good luck with the decision process.

Let me know if I can help any further.

Corey, sorry to do this but we don't have the tables in stock, just sold the last one. I'll find out if more are in the container due to arrive mid May.

But thanks for surfing the web store, how would you rate your experience?

We use a Pit Pal (large) table for our kitchen

They have a small one that may suit your needs if you can't find the FrontRunner. Ours is fairly light (for its size) and sturdy. It holds our chuckbox on one side and has plenty of cooking surface leftoverfor meal prep. In the off season it's used as a work surface in the garage/workshop.

Some cool gear there at PitPal. Three different sized tables and with steel legs... no more 1-2 season and toss collapsible tables.

How about that picnic condiment caddy? The ultimate in industrial/utility tech!

The Pit Pal table looks nice. The specs don't say how high it is when folded away.

The Front Runner table is 1.5" high when folded away, this allows the table to be stored under the roof rack when traveling. Looking at the Pit Pal I don't think it would be low enough to do that.

Hi Martyn, I thought the site store looked very well.
I like how it is also broken down by manufacturer.

16" deep x 26.25" wide are the dimensions of the chuckbox.

The Pit Pal table looks pretty nice too.
I am kind of limited to as the length of a table I can fit next to the ARB fridge where I also stuff the small Cabelas picnic table.

I have got down now to just using one of the ECS cases, and you can see the picnic table in its upright position next to the fridge.
Can not lay it flat back there of another table, they would cover the tie-down anchors that I use for the straps to keep the ECS case in place.
It is 38" x 32".

I will have to do some more measuring back there to see if I could lay down flat the picnic table and a table for the chuckbox, and still use a tie-down, or find a table with roughly the same dimensions as the picnic table so it would fit side by side with the picnic table next to the fridge.

I could almost get away with using the picnic table to put the chuckbox on, but then that would not leave us with any room to sit down and use the table to eat at.

The Pit Pal is 2-1/2" (I just measured it) thick with the legs all tucked up underneath.

Their small table is 42"W x 25"D x 31"H (When Open) according to the website. So that would be 42" X 25" X 2.5" folded

And yeah Tim they make lots of cool stuff for organizing your race car trailer (or glamping kit)

Is it possible to store the front runner tables with the z-channles using front runner load bars? (as opposed to the slimline rack).

Ash,

Great to meet you at expo and your super great best vehicle ever, the LX450!

The frontrunner load bars also have the tracks in them. With some careful placement of your load bars you could use the z channels, but you will need a load bar at the end of your channel for securing.

Can it be done, yes, is it going to require some custom setup, yes. Is it good to do it... This may require you have an extra load bar. For your 1800 t-top you'll need 4 I believe just to mount the tent, and one of those woul need to be at the back of the rack system, unless you dabbed up a bracket to hold the stop possibly.

Hope that was long winded enough for you.

Here is nice youtube from Paul on the table.

Unless your Baja rack is curved and not flat, or just to close the vehicle, I see no reason you could not buy the mount and put it under there.
