Where is it currently located (my apologies, that from my phone, I can't see your location info)? I seem to recall, perhaps, somewhere in Canada ... but that could also be lack of sleep talking (I've got a three week old).

Any thoughts on ability to import/title in the US? I realize it's newer than the 'standard' 25yr mark that supposedly makes a US import 'easy' ... but it's not an area I know a lot about.

At any rate, nice Patrol; I'd imagine it should go fast.

Sorry. Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Getting it into the US is simple from BC. It's registering/title that may be difficult but a process I'm not familiar with.

Many people travel to BC, buy a vehicle and insure it via ICBC (Insurance corp of BC). Way around it is just need a local address. I've seen vehicles driven in WA, OR by US residents that bought a Canadian JDM and driving it down there with BC plates they registered/insured.

Yeah ... I have no real desire to pursue a 'grey area' registration (no judgement against those that do, it's just not for me); and being from Colorado myself - with no real local (BC or WA) connections, I'm not even sure how that would work. Good note on the ICBC path, though.

I'll do some digging on this end, just for giggles ('cause now I'm curious) ... and also because this isn't the first time I've wondered about a Patrol of that generation (Y60). At the very least, I *guess* I could be patient for another few years until they start to go over the 25 year mark. Again, nice truck, I hope it sells fast for you.

Thanks guys.

You can start importing them next year.

1987 is when they started producing the Y60/GQ Patrol (Safari as known in Japan) and 88 is what I'm seeing at the auction houses.

I'll post more this week. Just on call @ work/hospital doesn't give me enough time during the daylight hours to get some good photos.
