Fuse block for accessories

Pretty neat, a little expensive but I'm sure totally worth considering his costs and time for assembly..

Here are the fuse block options at Summit Racing. http://www.summitracing.com/search/Part-Type/Fuse-Blocks/

The biggest thing for me was use of relays as well. There are some good relay holders and waterproof relay holders at Waytek. You could use a cheaper fuse block with them, but again I was psyched to find something that is one unit and pretty much water proof. We'll see how it comes out when done...

the cheapest and really effective way to put more fuses/relays in your jeep is to just go to the junkyard/find someone junking a jeep, and cut out the existing fuse box. Then look at yours, it will have empty slots where there should have been options. take the wires/connectors out of the junk fuse box and insert them into the vacant spots on yours. This way it stays need at tidy, you dont need any extra room to mount other fuse boxes, you have easy access to both 12v constant, and switched 12v, and if you have a fuse/relay issue, you only have to look in one common spot. Ive done this on the last 2 jeeps i owned to run oba, lights, lockers, accessories, and it works great

Has anybody here ever been to Del City's website?

http://www.delcity.net

They have all sorts of electronic goodies for great prices, especially when the sales are on.

I'm a big fan of delcity, bought most of the parts for my fuse/relay box there.

Some good ideas

2xs that is a great idea on using the existing fuse block. Personally I would rather have a stand alone system though. barlowrs, that is the same path I'm thinking about taking, I just need to find a location that is TJ specific. WF-Wagrub do you have any description/photos of your install on your 06' Rubicon? Thanks to everybody for their input.

I run two separate systems using a wrecker fuse\relaybox. One just for the bare minimum for starting and running the engine. The other will be for the rest. There are a lot of extra space to add extra relays if needed.

Original fuse box and coolant bottle bracket.

I cut the coolant bottle mounting tabs off and welding the two together

for added support I cut off the unused mounting leg and repositioned it as a gusset.

Bracket completed and painted up.

Bolted it back in and snap in the fuse boxes.

The only issue may come when I change my oil filter, the coolant bottle is quite close so I might have to pull it to get the oilf filer off but no big deal.
