Personally don't care for the shiny look, but I understand you're doing it so this thing won't rust, ever.

The chassis the right way up!
Also have the engine in pieces now, its a 4D33 4.2 litre I wondered why it was so gutless when i drove it before the build! here's the reason the camshaft has virtually no lobes left on it, the ring grooves in the pistons are worn out, all due to the air cleaner system not being sealed.

So Alan... did you weigh the chassis before and after getting it galvanized?

No did not weigh it, did'nt want the shock! it certainly blows the doors off trying to paint it!

Does that mean that you are no longer looking at putting two coats of clear over it?
Personally, I would not have thought that necessary, plus I don't know how the clear would go over fresh gal without any primer.
