fuso brake question

I brought my 2001 fg to get the transmision rebuilt and the shop said it need brakes...The inspected the front and said the were in good shape but said the back need new drums and seals...My question is arent the back drums typically turned on a lathe? he also said that it was up to me to find them...should i buy new from the dealer? buy used? or have them machined? Hope someone can give me some advice Thanks

Drums are usually turned on a lathe but there is a limit beyond which they can't be turned. I'd take them to a shop and have the drums evaluated to see if they can be turned. If not, Busbees probably has used ones. Don't know how expensive it would be to ship them but I'm betting far cheaper than buying new ones.
