Fuso/Canter Brakes seals - Lug Nuts - data

As I am preparing future trips with a recently acquired truck, I hope I might save you some time by sharing my findings.

By the way, thanks to FusoFG who has helped me a lot, in particular since Mitubishi database in the US cannot be searched with my Japanese chassis number... I needed a US VIN number such as a Canter FG 93... and also good advice from a seasonned Canter -and more recent Fuso- owner !

I recall having read that DKGreene had trouble abroad with the brake drums. I remember also that when I had my truck inspected right after import, the mechanic said he could not have a good look at the brake pads without destroying the seal.

So, just in case, here are Mitsubishi references for Canter 93, so I assume it applies up to Canter/Fuso 2002, maybe beyong ?

=> Rear Drum brakes seal - Inner=MB161152 (on picture 33350)
=> Rear Drum brakes seal - Outer=MB308933 (on picture 33360)
=> Front Drum brakes seal - Inner=MB420155 (on picture 32540)

Lug Nuts: Maybe not as critical but potentially usefull since the left ones have a left thread (turn left to tighten) and the steel is quite hard to have any emergency ones made on a developping country lathe in the bush.

=> Front Axle Lug Nut - Left=MT420341 -- Right=MT420342
=> Rear Axle Lug Nut - Inner Left=MT420209 --- Outer Left=MT420211
- Inner Right=MT420210 -- Outer Right=MT420212

On the rear axle, the inner nut locks the inner wheel on the axle while the outer locks the outer wheel.

PLEASE, drop me a PM if this helps. I would be happy to share more as I learn but I dont want to take Forum space if unnecessary.

Robert

This WAS helpful! 10 years later!
I'm having trouble figuring out why my drum rubs the back plate. One theory was the seal would push the bearing outboard. I drove 2 hrs to Columbus, Ohio and bought one at a Fuso/Truck shop. I opened the box and realized it won't help. I had the bearing with me and asked the parts guy if he could tell me the part number to compare it with the Koyo # printed on the bearing. He was so sure I wouldn't even find any info by "googling it" that he wouldn't tell me the effing part number...
I was confused if he was lazy or just a jerk. So I took my$33 seal that I didn't need and walked away.
Long story short, does anyone know how I can find out if my Koyo bearing # 57326 is the proper inner wheel hub bearing?
Thanks!
