Hello all. I have a 92 fg 140 shorty. I have been looking for wheels for a srw conversion and have decided that I would like to stick with 16"(or close to it) for cushion of tire, and ability to release lots of air for sand driving. I will not buy Stockton wheels, and Rickson doesn't carry 16's....can't get them to answer my calls anyway. Please help me find a vendor in the us. I live in Northern California.

The Earthcruiser uses 16 and 17 inch rims. The web site says they plan to sell rims in USA. Lance Gillies is owner of EarthCruiser. Lance recently established an office in Oregon. Contact Lance at sales@earthcruiserusa.com, Phone 503 688 3345. Let us know what Lance says!

You must be looking in the wrong place, we have these available in 16" x 8" forged alloy rims, they will be available in the states soon.

so, I am trying to figure out how to post pics and all that as you can see. Sorry about the flipped images. 93 Fuso and a american milspec s280 communications shelter, aluminum frame, and sheeting with honeycomb insulation. I am going to ditch the flatbed(probably mount it on my Dodge) and mount the box to the Fuso. Kayak on top, motorcycle on back and real basic inside. Windows and a vent, some fans, but no real built ins. Trying to keep it simple.

Interesting concept.
Although wouldnt it be easier to just start from scratch, after all it sounds like your just building a box on a flat bed
I did it on my 649 in light guage steel - http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/73458-BY-REQUEST-MY-FG-SWB-(the-20-cent-tour)
just the basics somewhere to sleep, and keep the fridge
with storage for the bike , boat , tools and toys

Thanks for your input. The box is aluminum framed, insulated, aluminum sheathed, and wired with a panel and shore power inlet. It weighs 1300lbs and is built to go on the back of trucks. Mounting it and going seems the easy way to go.
These boxes are super strong and already built and a lot cheaper/less time consuming than building. In my mind they are beautiful. They are 7' h, 7'w and 12' long and super strong for their weight. The doors, lash points etc are all very well thought out mil spec components. I'm hoping to cut some holes for windows and head to baja. I did several months in my jaunt to Central America in a Toyota hilux single cab with a 6' bed.....so this will be pretty Cush already.

The box that you have is perfect. Light weight, and with the structural integrity that would be hard to duplicate. Just make it work, and when you do, you will be happy that you stuck to your guns.
Many said the same things about my dream of mounting an old Trugreen body to my FG, and yet the results bring accolades galore.
Keep looking forward, and never look side to side.

Hi again....I contacted earthcruiser us, but they said they are not selling parts? Any ideas on how to get those single wheels?
