G10/lx3

I have decided to get either the G10 or LX3 as soon as I can actually hold both side by side (couple stores in my area sold out of both). My question is; are there any rumors of say a G11 or a LX4 coming out soon (next 6mos) that I should wait on?

I put together this list of announcement dates for those 2 cameras-

G1- Sept '00
G2- Aug '01
G3- Sept '02
G5- June '03
G6 Aug '04
G7- Sept '06
G9- Aug '07
G10- Sept '08


LX1- July '05
LX2- July '06
LX3- July '08

If Canon continues with the G series trend, there's a good chance a G11
will come out this year. I just ordered a G10 yesterday, so if the 11 is a
big upgrade, I'll probably be annoyed!

As far as the LX series goes...Hard to tell if they'll skip a year or not.
Hopefully someone with more info than me will chime in.

I am a staunch Canon fan, and have been for 40+ years. But if I were to choose between the two cameras you are considering, I would buy the LX3. Almost makes me feel guilty to say that.

It seems every review I read puts the LX3 as the hands down winner everytime.

LX3 is on top, but hell if I can actually find one to touch. Went to a few places today, nobody has either.
