garmin nuvi500 for $180. is it worth it?

just got a cabelas flyer today and they have nuvi 500's for $180. it says it comes preloaded with 48 state topos. would it be worth it for me to upgrade from my currentn 260 to the 500 or save my money and stick with the 260. i have read before that the 260 is kinda limited on its uses with downloaded topo maps. i have never tried the downloaded maps so i;m not sure.

if i could make my 260 work that would be ok,but if the 500 is worth the money (which it seems to be) i get one before the weekend is out.

input, opinions, facts. my ears are open. thanks in advance.

I have been looking for a Nuvi 500 on ebay, and they are all over $200, so Calebas is a great deal. Is it in store only?

i got a bargain cave flyer. i'm not sureif it is just sent out to cabelas club customers or to everyone else. it actually says some items may not be available in stores. fi you check there web site in teh bargain cave they may be listed there.

any input on teh gps?

I don't have feedback, but it will be my next gps - I have an 8 year old unit, and it was lost in Philly today, but I can't buy this this month.
